Ghar Se Nikalne Ki Dua – Dua for Leaving Home
Islam teaches us supplications for every act. At the beginning of every work, Muslims should dua from Allah. These duas or supplications are an act of reciting specific words in Arabic that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) recited at the beginning of every work.
In this article, we will discuss dua thoroughly for leaving home, also called ghar se nikalne ki dua in Urdu.
By reciting these duas, Muslims are saved from the attacks of Satan and take refuge in Allah. Moreover, whatever act is started by reciting dua, Allah’s mercy and help are added. By doing these small things, we can get the pleasure of Allah.
Ghar Se Nikalne Ki Dua – Dua For Leaving the House
In Ahadith, we find two supplications for leaving home. The first and most famous is;
بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللّٰہِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰہِ
Transliteration:
Bismil-lahe tawakkaltu allalahe la hawla wala quwwata illa billah.
Urdu Translation:
(میں اس گھر سے) اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ (نکل رہا ہوں) میں نے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا اور گناہ سے بچنے کی ہمت ہے نہ نیکی کرنے کی طاقت مگر اللہ ہی کی توفیق سے
English Translation;
(I am leaving this home.) In the name of Allah, I rely upon Allah, and (I have) no courage to avoid sin and no strength to do good but Allah’s grace.
Ghar Se Nikalne Ki Dua Hindi Translation
मैं अल्लाह का नाम लेकर यह घर छोड़ रहा हूं।’मुझे अल्लाह पर भरोसा है और अल्लाह की मदद के बिना न तो गुनाह से बचने की हिम्मत है और न ही नेकी करने की ताकत
Related Hadith
“Narrated Anas Bin Malik: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: Whoever says- that is: When he leaves his house- بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللّٰہِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰہِ ( In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah, there is no might and no power but in Allah) it will be said to him: You have been sufficed and protected, and Satan will become distant from him.” (Sunan Tirmizi Hadith #3426, Status: Sahih)
With the context of this hadith, we came to know that when we are reading dua for leaving the home, we are asking Allah for guidance and protection. And in response to this dua, we get Allah’s guidance and protection all the way wherever we go. Satan, go away from us.
In another hadith in Sunan Abu Dawud, it is said that the devil asks other devils, how can you harm such a person who has guidance and is protected by Allah.
Another Dua For Leaving the Home
From Ahadith we find another dua for leaving home and that is;
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نَزِلَّ أَوْ نَضِلَّ أَوْ نَظْلِمَ أَوْ نُظْلَمَ أَوْ نَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيْنَا
Transliteration
Bismillāh, tawakkaltu `alallāh. Allāhumma, innā na`ūdhu bika min an nazilla aw naḍilla, aw naẓlima aw nuẓlam, aw najhala aw yujhala alainā
Translation in Urdu
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ کے نام سے، بھروسہ کرتا ہوں اللہ پر، اے اللہ تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں اس بات سے کہ حق و صواب سے کہیں پھر نہ جاؤں، یا راہ حق سے بھٹکا نہ دیا جاؤں، یا میں کسی پر ظلم کروں یا مجھ پر ظلم کیا جائے، یا میں کسی کے ساتھ جاہلانہ برتاؤ کروں یا کوئی میرے ساتھ جاہلانہ انداز سے پیش آئے
Translation in English
In the Name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. O Allah! We seek refuge in you from slipping unintentionally or becoming misguided, or committing oppression or being oppressed, or acting ignorantly or treated ignorantly.
Related Hadith
Umm e Salmah narrated that: When the Prophet (SAW) would leave his house, he would say:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نَزِلَّ أَوْ نَضِلَّ أَوْ نَظْلِمَ أَوْ نُظْلَمَ أَوْ نَجْهَلَ أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيْنَا
(Sunan Tirmizi Hadith# 3427, Status Sahih)
Benefits Of Reading Dua Before Leaving Home
From these two ahadith, we know the following benefits of reciting ghar se nikalne ki dua:
- The Devil goes away from us
- Satan is desperate to harm us or lead us astray
- Allah’s guidance with us all the way
- Allah protects us from any harm and every kind of evil deed
- No one can oppress us
- And we cannot oppress anyone
